When students can participate in the lesson the learning 'sticks' better. So I decided upon a variation of a well known game to get the learners involved. This piece was part of presentation on one of my favorite topics: cephalopods (The group of animals that octopus and squid belong to) The idea was for students to label to the various numbered parts of the giant squid from a set of options. They each had their own copy of the picture shown on the large display board shown at right. The labels waiting to be placed on to the display board to demonstrate the correct names of different parts of the squid. |
